Thus they'll be shielded from further intrusion. The JailHost option doesn't imply that you should not keep your sites up to date, but it will greatly limit the damage.
JailHost in Shared Hosting
JailHost is available by default with all the shared hosting plans that we offer and you could enable it with just a single mouse click inside your Hepsia Control Panel. In contrast to other Control Panels where add-on domains keep their content within the main domain folder, every domain or subdomain in Hepsia has its own folder, thus using JailHost shall make a significant difference. You will be able to choose which websites will use this option and will be locked based on your content because you could have some Internet site where you'd like to allow users or administrators to access other folders in your website hosting account. Yet, this feature will add one more level of security to your websites together with the firewalls which we use and even if any of your Internet sites gets hacked, you could recover it easy and fast using any of the multiple daily backup copies of your entire account that we will generate.
JailHost in Semi-dedicated Servers
JailHost comes with all of our semi-dedicated server packages and you could activate it with a few clicks. It is not enabled by default since we do not want to prevent some scripts that need to gain access to multiple folders in your account from functioning properly. You can activate JailHost for all other websites that you have from the Hepsia Control Panel and you can do this effortlessly even when you don't have any previous experience. What allows us to offer JailHost is the way Hepsia manages multiple domains - they all have individual folders which could be "locked". In comparison, other popular Control Panels feature add-on domains and the content of the latter is kept in the primary domain folder, so if a single website is hacked, the whole account is hacked, which is not the case with Hepsia. In the event that an Internet site gets damaged regardless of your efforts, we will be able to restore it the way it was very quickly as we'll store several daily backup copies of your account.
